IT Advisory & Virtual IT Department (Monthly)
A monthly advisory service for companies without dedicated IT staff — or where one person carries it all. Not a contract to build systems, but one that takes over day-to-day IT decisions and firefighting: unlimited chat consultations, vendor quote reviews and meeting attendance, an inventory of your SaaS, licenses, and maintenance contracts, and regular security checkups — as a strategist standing between management and vendors.
Features
- Unlimited chat consultations + monthly reviews
- Vendor quote reviews & meeting attendance
- IT asset inventory (anti-black-boxing)
- Security checkups & incident triage
Sound Familiar?
An honest note: we're your strategist, not your on-site technician.
This is not a contract to build systems or rush over to fix PCs. It's a contract that takes over your IT decisions and incident triage — which is exactly why an outside IT ally starts at just ¥30,000 a month.
An IT advisor pays off when you have no dedicated IT staff (or just one), when you want someone who can judge vendor proposals, and when you fear knowledge walking out the door. When hands-on work is needed, we quote the scope and cost separately — and you're free to decline.
What We Do — and Don't
Being explicit about scope upfront is our first promise for a long, low-stress engagement.
In scope
- Unlimited consultations (chat + monthly reviews)
Ask anything, anytime — roughly 30 minutes per topic, business hours, answers by the next business day.
- Vendor-side backup
Quote sanity checks, online meeting attendance, and technical questions asked on your behalf.
- IT asset inventory, kept current
SaaS, licenses, domains, and maintenance contracts in one list — always shared with you. Prevents black-boxing and overpaying.
- Regular security checkups
Account audits, backup verification, and password-practice checks on a regular cadence, with reports.
- Incident triage
We identify whether 'the internet is down' is the line, the hardware, or the system — and route it to the right counter.
Out of scope
- PC setup & on-site visits
Work requiring a visit is quoted separately at spot rates.
- Development & build work itself
Actual system development or cloud builds are proposed as separate contracts with explicit scope and cost.
- 24/7 coverage
Support runs weekday business hours. For round-the-clock monitoring, we'll point you to managed cloud operations.

How is this different from IT outsourcing or maintenance services?
Outsourcing typically covers tasks — helpdesk, PC management. This is an advisory retainer that covers judgment: quote reviews, vendor meetings, and asset inventories, standing between management and vendors. Hands-on work is quoted separately with explicit scope.
Can we really ask anything?
Yes — 'Is this email a scam?', 'Is this quote too high?', 'Which PCs should we buy?' — anything IT. As a guideline: about 30 minutes per topic, business hours, answers by the next business day.
We have one dedicated IT person. Is this still useful?
One-person IT departments benefit the most. We become their sounding board, preventing isolation and knowledge silos — and the Premium plan includes skill development. The ledger also hedges against resignation risk.
What is the IT asset ledger? Isn't it vendor lock-in?
A document listing your SaaS, licenses, domains, maintenance contracts, and accounts. It's always shared with you and stays yours after cancellation — it actually makes switching vendors (including away from us) easier.
Will you fix incidents?
Triage — identifying the cause and routing to the right counter — is in scope. We prepare exactly what to tell the carrier, manufacturer, or developer. Work we can do ourselves is quoted separately.
Do you visit on-site?
Advisory plans run online (chat and video). On-site visits are quoted separately at spot rates; central Tokyo (Shinagawa, Minato, Shibuya, etc.) is relatively flexible.
Is there a minimum contract period?
No. Month-to-month, cancel anytime. Deliverables like the ledger and checkup reports remain yours after cancellation.
Which plan should we choose?
When in doubt, start with Light and upgrade when needed. In the free consultation we'll assess your situation and tell you honestly — including 'Light is enough.'
