iOS & Android App Development
Oflight is a team with real track record as app builders, having developed our own iOS/Mac apps and SaaS products. For each project, we take a neutral stance on whether native development (Swift/Kotlin) or Flutter cross-platform development is the better fit — we never push Flutter as the one-size-fits-all answer. We support the full lifecycle: planning and requirements definition, UI/UX design, development, app store review support, and post-launch operations and growth.

Sound Familiar?
Flutter isn't always the right answer.
As a team that has built its own iOS/Mac apps, we can say this plainly: projects needing camera/sensor integration or the best possible UX call for native (Swift/Kotlin); launching on both OSes at once, or cost/speed-focused MVPs, call for Flutter cross-platform. We recommend whichever fits your requirements — never a one-size-fits-all pitch.
| Aspect | Native fits when | Cross-platform fits when |
|---|---|---|
| Performance & UX | Optimized for OS-native UI, best possible feel | Comfortable for most use cases; complex animation is a bit harder |
| Camera / sensors / AR etc. | Smooth access to the latest OS features | Depends on library support; cutting-edge features can be limited |
| Cost & timeline | Relatively higher — built separately for each OS | One codebase covers both OSes, easier to keep costs down |
| MVP / validation phase | Thorough but slower to first release | Better fit for speed-focused launches |
| Maintenance & new features | Requires changes on each OS separately | One fix reflects on both OSes |

Book Free ConsultationFrequently Asked Questions
How long does development take?
The MVP Pack takes 2–3 months, and Full App Development takes 3–6 months. Timelines vary based on feature complexity and OS coverage — start with a free consultation for an estimate.
Should we choose Flutter or native?
It depends on the project. We recommend native (Swift/Kotlin) when camera/sensor integration or the best possible UX matters, and Flutter when launching both OSes at once or cost/speed is the priority. We give a neutral recommendation after hearing your requirements in a free consultation.
How much more does supporting both iOS and Android cost?
With Flutter cross-platform, one codebase covers both OSes, keeping costs lower than building separate native apps. We'll quote a specific figure based on your requirements in a free consultation.
What happens if the app is rejected during store review?
Handling review rejections is included in the development pack scope. We fix guideline violations and resubmit at no extra cost.
Can you take over and modify an app built by another vendor?
Yes. We review the existing source code and quote the scope and cost of the changes. Even without access to source code, feel free to consult us first.
How are post-launch OS updates handled?
With our Operations & Growth plan (from ¥150,000/mo), we continuously support your app through annual major iOS/Android updates.
When do we pay, and can we cancel midway?
For every pack we quote a fixed price before starting and begin only after you approve — the amount never increases afterward. You can cancel free of charge any time before we start. After we start, we only bill for work in progress.
