DefinedTerm
Also known as: DefinedTerm schema / 定義語構造化データ
A Schema.org type for defined terms. Applying it to glossary pages or definition-heavy content makes it easier for AI Overviews and AI Mode to accurately cite the definition.
Overview
DefinedTerm consists of name, description, and inDefinedTermSet. The common pattern is to mark the glossary page with DefinedTermSet and each individual entry with DefinedTerm.
LLMO Benefits
Pages with DefinedTerm markup allow AI search systems to extract definitions with greater precision. Google's official AI Optimization Guide also recommends structured data implementation as a best practice.
