Search Console

Also known as: Google Search Console / GSC / 旧Webmaster Tools

Google's free site management tool for monitoring search performance, index coverage, Core Web Vitals, and manual actions, as well as submitting sitemaps and requesting URL indexing.

Overview

Search Console is the starting point for SEO work. It provides query-level data on clicks, impressions, average position, and CTR, broken down by page, country, and device. The Core Web Vitals report identifies field performance issues, and the Index Coverage report surfaces crawl errors.

Key Workflows

Core workflows include URL inspection and indexing requests after publishing, sitemap submission, rich result testing, and monthly performance reviews. See our SEO design checklist for a complete routine.
